  • In 2023 the margravial court astronomer Simon Marius will celebrate his 450th birthday and the following year the 400th anniversary of his death. The Simon Marius Society is taking both jubilees as an opportunity to commemorate the German astronomer in 2024 and is proclaiming an international anniversary year under the title "Simon Marius 1573 - 1624". The presentation outlines the plans and invites participation.
